<p><strong>Connacht Scor Na Nog</strong><br />
Well done to the Fenagh Set Dancers who performed brilliantly at the Connacht Scor Na Nog Finals in Castlebar last weekend. However  on this occasion there were unsuccessful in their quest for Connacht glory. They can look forward to several more years in this competition as the average age of the team is 11 years old and the competition they were taking part in is under 17. Well done to the following dancers Louise Cafferty, Niamh Dwyer, Eabha Gill, Emma Gill, Mark Keegan, Eoin McLoughlin, Conor O’Rourke and David Wrynn. And well done  to their mentors Eileen Doonan and Tereasa Ellis who have trained these set dancers so well to bring them to the Connacht Finals.</p>
<p><strong>CPR/AED Revalidation</strong><br />
Will take place in Fenagh Visitor Centre on Monday the 6th of February from 8.00pm to 10.00pm. All trained members please attend and refresh your skills.</p>
<p><strong>Line Dancing Classes</strong><br />
Line dancing classes are back in Fenagh Visitor Centre starting tonight Wednesday evening the 1st of February from 8.30pm to 9.30pm for 5 weeks with Sarah Mulligan from mohill. 5 week session costs €25.</p>
<p><strong>Fenagh Active Age Group</strong><br />
Fenagh Active Age group will meet on Tuesday 7th February 2012 in Fenagh Visitor Centre at 8.00pm. New members are always welcome.</p>

<p><strong>Fenagh Community Alert</strong><br />
We are presently setting up a text alert system to combat crime in the area, this system is in operation in other localities and is working successfully. We have had a very good response to this so far and we would hope to get as many as possible to join.<br />

<p><strong>Fenagh Community Playgroup</strong><br />
Fenagh Community Playgroup still has a number of places available.  We cater for children aged 2 years 10 months up to 5 years.  We also provide places under the ECCE scheme.   If your child is starting school in September 2012 and was born between 02/02/2007 and 30/06/2008, they are entitled to avail of the FREE preschool year.  If you wish to enrol your child you can phone the Playgroup Leader Ceara on 086 3593244 or call into the playgroup.</p>

<p><strong>Aughawillian Drama Troupe Play for North West Simon Community</strong><br />

<p><strong>Ballinamore Musical Society</strong><br />
Rehearsals are in full swing for one of the best loved musicals of all time, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers to be staged from February 24th to March 3rd in the Community Centre. It promises to be a fun-filled production of fabulous songs and impressive dance moves together with light-hearted comedy &#8211; just what we all need in the present times!<br />
Based on the film of the same name Seven Brides For Seven Brothers is all boisterous fun and romance that harkens back to the glory days of the movie musical.<br />
Some of the well known songs include Bless your beautiful hide, Wonderful day, Going courtin,  Lonesome polecat and  Sobbin’ women.<br />
The members have been rehearsing diligently since long before Christmas and everyone is enjoying the fun and frolics in the run up the this eagerly awaited popular show. Watch this space for further details.</p>

<p><strong>Handball Alley Open</strong><br />
The handball Alley has reopened after the  construction of a viewing stand and new dressing rooms. Training for all will recommence from Monday 30th January.</p>

<p>To help Fenagh maintain and achieve higher results and with the times we are in, Fenagh Development Company would like to encourage the people of Fenagh to donate any cuttings of their plants when tidying their gardens this autumn. So we can propagate them for next years season planting around the village.</p>

<p><strong>Christmas Cards for Sale- National School Fundraiser</strong><br />
Fenagh St Caillins National School are selling Christmas Cards made by the pupils of the school. A pack of eight can be purchased for €7 and 3 packs can be purchased for €20. Your support would be greatly appreciated.</p>
<p><strong>Cash for Clobber</strong><br />
Fenagh St Caillins  National School are having a collection of clean new or old unwanted clothes, shoes etc starting next Monday 14th. You can also send in textiles except for duvets and pillows. The school will be paid per bag collected so every bag brought in will benefit the school and would be greatly appreciated.</p>
<p><strong>St. Patrick&#8217;s Day Parade &#8211; AGM</strong><br />
Will be held in Quinn&#8217;s Bar, Fenagh on Monday 28th November at 8pm.  All are welcome and we look forward to seeing new members.  Thank you.</p>
<p><strong>Athletics</strong><br />
Well done to Ryan O’Rourke , Jack Gilheany and  Riordain O’Rourke who qualified for the Connacht Team in Ballinamore recently. They  will be competing in the All Ireland Uneven Ages Cross Country Championships in the Curragh in December. Also well done to  Sibeal Reynolds, Fergal McLoughlin, Eoin McLoughlin and James Honeyman who all acquitted themselves very well</p>
<p><strong>Ceili Dancing in Gorvagh</strong><br />
The Fior Ceili Dancing will take place in Gorvagh Community Centre on Monday 28th November at 8:30pm – 10:30pm. All are welcome.</p>
<p><strong>CPR and A.E.D Course</strong><br />
A class will be arranged for anyone interested in taking part in the Fenagh Heartsavers C.P.R and A.E.D course. You can contact Fenagh Visitor Centre on 071 9645590 to put your name and number on the list and we will get back to you with a date for the course.</p>
<p><strong>Fenagh Handball Alley Closed</strong><br />
As part of the ongoing development works that are taking place at Fenagh Handball Alley. The Alley will be closed for the next few weeks on Health and Safety grounds. Fenagh Handball  Club wish to apoplogise for any inconvenience caused.</p>
<p><strong>Fenagh New Cemetery</strong><br />
Work is progressing well on the new cemetery. Due to recent bad weather the development is slightly behind schedule. Weather permitting it is expected that all major works will be conducted by year end. The committee wishes to thank all who have contributed to the project so far. Without this assistance it would not have been possible to bring the work to this present stage. We would appeal to all who have yet to contribute to the project to do so as soon as possible to enable the project to be completed in its entirety.</p>

Fenagh parent and toddler group is back in Fenagh Visitor Centre every Thursday and Friday mornings from 10am to 12noon. All parents and toddlers welcome to come along.</p>

<p>The classes are thought by Aoife mc Niffe who is a recent Graduate from University College Dublin with a Masters Degree in Public Health Nutrition and an Honours Degree in Food Science &amp; Physiology. She will hold weekly lectures on key nutritional topics &amp; include important information on diet-related diseases such as heart disease, type II diabetes &amp; Obesity. The class is suitable for both men &amp; women and will include a weekly weigh-in using a Medical Body Composition Analyser. You will learn not only what you weight but your % body fat, Body mass index, Metabolic Rate and the age at which your metabolism is working.</p>
