  • Old Fenagh Abbey Graveyard

A hardcopy of all this research is on display in Fenagh Visitor Centre.

Each graveyard is displayed on our website, broken down into each graveyard. It displays each graves number, inscription on the headstone and year of death.

I am looking for the grave of Patrick (Lawlor,Lawless,Layless??)
I am tracing my husbands family tree, and have been told that Patrick was buried in the C of I graveyard in Fenagh.
He was born in Scotland, but married a RC lady called Elizabeth Curran.
She managed his shop in Newtown.Carlow.
Apparently,Lizzie kept her Catholic faith, but asked to be buried with her husband in the C of I graveyard.
I am sorry I don’t have any birth/death dates, but wondered if anyone could help me please?
