Congratulations to Donal Wrynne and Shane Doonan who won the All Ireland Minor 60×30 Handball Championship in Abbeylara at the weekend. Hard luck to Ciara McLoughlin and Mary Shanley who were narrowly defeated in the All Ireland Junior Ladies Handball in Roscommon at the weekend.

Under 14 Final

Best of luck to the Fenagh St Caillins under 14’s who take on their old rivals Sean Ui Heslins in the final of the 15 a side under 14 championship on Friday next 31st August.

Community Games

Well done to all the Fenagh Athletes who represented Leitrim at the weekend in the All Ireland Community Games Finals held in Athlone. Full details in next weeks notes.

Fenagh Handball Fundraising Draw

Fenagh Handball Club have launched a fundraising draw with some great prizes on offer.
1st prize is a 1 week Holiday for 2 people in Dubai, flights and accommodation included.
2nd & 3rd Prizes – trip for 2 people to see Manchester United in old Trafford, flights and accommodation also included.
Tickets are available from any committee member and are €10 each.

Fenagh Visitor Centre – Upcoming Classes
Guitar Lessons – Leo Torres will be holding a free information session at Fenagh Visitor Centre on Monday September 3rd from 7-8pm for anybody wishing to learn to play guitar (acoustic/classic/electric). His classes cater for children ages 11+ and adults. If you would like to attend the session please give your details to Teresa at 071 9645590. Bring your own guitar if possible.
We will also be running Oil Painting classes for adults with Noreen Gaffney School of Art and Sew & Tell classes for children (4th, 5th and 6th class ages) – basic sewing skills. Call the Centre if interested – 071 9645590
Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round- (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café). It is open Mon Sept 3rd to Fri Sept 7th 10am-5.30pm and Sat & Sunday Sept 8th &9th from 12 noon-5pm this week. Follow us on Facebook ‘fenaghvisitorcentre’ . Free internet access (WiFi) and local newspapers available to all customers. Fenagh Community Playgroup
Fenagh Community Playgroup reopens on Wednesday 29th August at 9.00 a.m. Good luck to all the children that have left the Playgroup and who are starting primary school. We extend best wishes to all the children who are starting and restarting Playgroup on Wednesday 29th August.

St Caillin’s NS Parents Assocation would like to wish the best of luck to all the girls and boys starting secondary school for the first time next week. Also good luck to all the little ones starting National School – parents of the new Junior Infant class are invited to drop in for a cup of tea/coffee to Fenagh Visitor Centre on the morning of August 29th from 9am onwards.
