 Under 14 – Leitrim Champions

Congratulations  to the Fenagh St Caillins Under 14 footballers who recorded a great victory over Sean O’Heslins on Friday evening last in the 15 a side under 14 championship final played in Pairc Sean.

In a game of 2 halves,  Sean O’Heslins had the upper hand in the first half going in at half time winning by 2 goals on a score line of 2-6 to 0-6 points. However in the second half the game swung in favour of Fenagh St Caillins as they took control of the game which allowed them to drive forward time and time again and with goals from Arron McLoughlin, Sean Keegan (2), Kyle McNabola and Riordain O’Rourke. They emerged winners on a memorable evening by 5-13 to 2-8. Great scenes of jubilation followed . Well done to the Fenagh St Caillins team which was Tom Gilheany, Alan Doonan, Sean Keegan, Oisin McLoughlin, Jarlath Scollan, Caillin O’ Rourke, Mark Keegan, Jack Gilheany (c) Arron McLoughlin, Conor Reynolds, Nathan 0’Rourke, Kyle McNabola, Riordain O’Rourke, Alan Wrynne, Conor Dwyer, Sean McLoughlin, David Wrynn, Shane Gill, James Maguire, Conor McKeon, Liam Kelly, Owen McLoughlin, Robert Maguire. Well done to BobbyO’Rourke, Jimmy Gilheany and Ciallain McLoughlin for having the team so well prepared for the final.

Well done to Riordain O’Rourke who represented Fenagh National School and Leitrim  in the Cumann na mBunscoil INTO/RESPECT Exhibition Go games at half time in the Senior match in Croke Park on Sunday last. An experience he will never forget.

All Ireland Community Games

A number of Fenagh Athletes represented Leitrim in the All Ireland Community games finals in Athlone. Well done to the following; The u-13 mixed relay team of Oisin McLoughlin , Riordain 0’Rourke, Sibeal Reynolds and Rachael Smith who finished in sixth place just missing out on a medal by a few inches. Ryan O Rourke who finished 9th in the u 16 1500m final.. Kyle McNabola who finished 6th in the u 14 100m semi final. Jack Gilheany who competed in the u 14 800m heats, Jack Gilheany, Kyle McNabola, Nathan O’Rourke and David Wrynn who competed in the U 14 100m relay heats, and Kate Gilheany and Ellie O’Rourke who competed in the heats of the u 10 mixed relay

Deepest Sympathy

Deepest sympathy is extended to Joyce Smith and family, Drumroosk North on the recent death of her father Gerard O’Dwyer. May he rest in peace.

Fenagh Handball Fundraising Draw
Fenagh Handball Club has launched a fundraising draw with some great prizes on offer.

1st prize is a 1 week Holiday for 2 people in Dubai, flights and accommodation included.

2nd & 3rd Prizes – trip for 2 people to see Manchester United in old Trafford, flights and accommodation also included.

Fenagh St. Caillins GAA – Supporters Merchandising Gear

Supporter’s merchandising gear, from juvenile to adult sizes is now available to purchase.  All of the gear is manufactured by O’Neill’s and will incorporate the Fenagh St. Caillins GAA Club crest. Items such as Hoodies, T-shirts, Polo shirts, Windcheaters and Rain Jackets will be on display at the club grounds on Saturday morning 8th  September at 11am and after Saturday evening / Sunday morning Mass times in the community centre for anyone wishing to view or order any of the items listed above.

All items to be paid for at time of order, where possible. Allow 3-4 weeks for Delivery.

Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round- (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café).  It is open Mon Sept 10th to Fri Sept 14th 10am-5.30pm and Sat & Sunday Sept 15th &16th from 12 noon-5.30pm this week. Follow us on Face book ‘fenaghvisitorcentre’ . Free internet access (Wi-Fi) and local newspapers available to all customers. Fenagh Down Through the Years we are looking for any old photos/documents/items depicting life in and around Fenagh down through the years — if you or a relative/neighbour/friend have any of these items you would like to donate, we would love to display them here in the Centre or take a copy of your photo, so have a good rummage and see what you might find in the bottom of a long forgotten drawer or cupboard!

Urban Funk Dance
Urban Funk Dance is back and bigger than ever with performances at weddings, community games, local competitions and many more events planned through out the coming year.
