GAA INTO Respect Exhibition Go Games
Well done to Rian McWeeney who took part in the Exhibition Go Games match which took place in Croke Park at the half time break of the Senior All Ireland semi on Sunday last. He took up his customary place in goals and performed very well togged out in the Tyrone colours with his long clearing kicks been a highlight of the game. Well done Rian.

National Community Games Finals
Well done to all the Fenagh Athletes who took part in Community Games finals in Athlone. They all did very well with Kyle McNabola and Ryan O’Rourke reaching the semi finals of their respective competitions. Well done to the other athletes as well which were Jack Gilheany, Riordain O’Rourke, James Honeyman, James Wrynn and Ellie O’Rourke.

Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café, Hall rental/meeting space). Opening hours this week: Sept 2nd to Sept 6th 10am-5.30pm and Sat/Sun Sept 7th local newspapers and tourist information available to all visitors. Follow us on Facebook ‘fenaghvisitorcentre’. Heritage Week at Fenagh Visitor Centre

The Visitors Centre celebrated Heritage Week with an exhibition of  local produce and crafts which was an inspiration to all who attended. Fr Liam Kellys talk on “Fenagh 100 years ago” was excellent with a very large crowd in attendance. The talk by Frank Brennan on “John McGahern “ on Wednesday night was excellent and again a large crowd in attendance. A big thank you to all who participated in and supported our events during Heritage Week.

Sewing classes

Back to School Fenagh NS
The Parent’s Association have organised tea/coffee for parents of the new Junior Infants class from 9-10am in Fenagh Visitor Centre on Thursday Aug 29th.  All welcome.  Best wishes to the children starting and returning to school and to those starting their first year of secondary school this week.

Ballinamore Running & Walking Group

This group was formed to enable walkers, joggers & runners of all fitness levels to meet weekly & train together providing a safe & social environment for outdoor exercise. Next outing will be next Tuesday night at 8pm leaving from the canal basin across from Supervalu. All Welcome whether walking, jogging or running for this free & fun group!!!
