Engagement
Congratulations to Rhona Flynn and Paul Kilcrann Fenaghbeg who got  engaged recently.

Senior Citizens Party
The Annual Senior Citizens Party will take place on Sunday 26th January at  3pm in the newly refurbished Community Centre with the party been the first function to take place in the new premises. All invites have gone out, anybody that has not received an invite please contact the Visitors Centre at 0719645590. Anybody who wishes to donate a spot prize can do so by contacting the visitors centre.

Christmas Table Quiz
Congratulations to the O ‘Beirne team, Fenaghbeg who won the Old Rectory Perpetual Trophy kindly sponsored by Pat and Julie Curran following a tiebreaker finish with the Wrynn Family from Drumharkin. The Quiz now in its 10th year was once again a great success with 16 tables taking part. A big thank you to Peter Heaney who stepped in at the last minute as Quizmaster to fill the shoes of Oliver who was unable to make it on the night. Thanks to all who supported the quiz on the night  and contributed to a great night’s entertainment. Thanks to all the people who sponsored spot prizes, to Noel and Sinead Conerfry for supplying the amplification on the night after Fenagh Dev amplification broke down and thanks to Gabrial and Maureen for the use of the premises for the night.

Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café, Hall rental/meeting space). Opening hours this week: Mon-Fri Jan 20-24th 10am-5.30pm and Sat/Sun Jan 25/26th from 12-5.30pm . Free internet access (Wi-Fi), local newspapers and tourist information available to all visitors. Also visit our website at www.fenagh.com which features lots of information on historical Fenagh, upcoming classes and events, Monk’s Den playtime and birthday rates, and other facilities on offer.  Packie Duignan Traditional Weekend
Drumshanbo Comhaltas are delighted to announce the dates for the Packie Duignan Traditional Weekend are 24th 25th, 26th January 2014. Friday 24th January opening session in Gunnings 9.30pm. All musicians welcome.
Saturday starts off with music workshops on Flute, Fiddle, Whistle, Bouzouki. Registration in Aras Padraig at 2pm. Workshops from 2.30 to 4pm. Cost €10 per person. (Participants must be able to play a few tunes on their instrument.) Tutors will teach tunes which were played by Packie. The workshops will be followed by A youth session at 4.15 to 6pm in Berry tavern, High Street. Musicians. singers, dancers welcome.
At 9.30pm the annual Flute gathering gets underway in Berry’s. We are looking forward to a big line up of Flute players and musicians with all other instruments are also welcome. To conclude the celebrations on Sunday in memory of Packie and his wonderful Flute playing the popular Boxty Brunch gets underway at 12.30 in Henry’s, followed by a slan abhaile session. Everyone welcome.
