Congratulations to Donal Leydon, Derrinkip and Sheila McCormack, Breaffy, Co Mayo who were married on Saturday last.

 Annual Senior Citizens Party
A wonderful day was had by all at the annual Senior Citizens Party in the newly refurbished centre. Over 80 people attended for the meal with a few more coming in for the music provided by Seamus Farrell in the evening.  It could not be done without the help of the volunteers. Thanks to Aideen Reynolds, Mary Fitzpatrick, Ann Maguire, Mary McHugh, Vera Wrynne, Orla McKeon, Teresa Lennon, Roisin Greenan, Hannah Keegan, Molly Keegan, Hilary McDermott, Saoirse Redican, Bridget Dolan, Mary Kilkenny, Marie McGovern , Peter Kilkenny who did an excellent job as barman for the day. Also to Oliver Doonan who performed his MC duties with his usual efficiency. To Tommy and Fionnoula Smith (Clara Catering ) for providing an excellent meal. To Noel and Sinead Conerfy for providing the amplification and keg of Guinness. To Tommy Joe and Deirdre  (KM Cleaners) for providing the mats. To all the people who sponsored spot prizes – 58 in total. To all who donated towards the Church gate collection and on the day.

 Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café, Hall rental/meeting space). Opening hours this week: Mon-Fri March 3-7th from 10am-5.30pm and Sat/Sun March 8th/9th from 12-5.30pm . Free internet access (Wi-Fi), local newspapers and tourist information available to all visitors. Follow us on Facebook ‘fenaghvisitorcentre’. Also visit our website at www.fenagh.com which features lots of information on historical Fenagh, upcoming classes and events, Monk’s Den playtime and birthday rates, and other facilities on offer. Old Records & Photos
If you or somebody you know have any old photos, records, documents etc you would like to either donate to the Centre or leave with us so we can take a copy please drop in and see Teresa – we are also looking for donations of frames new or old (in good condition) to display our growing collection.

GROW Mental Health Awareness Programme
Week 3 of the programme continues at Fenagh Visitor Centre with the topic of ‘Introduction to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy’ this Wednesday, February 26thth at 8pm. This programme is free of charge and all welcome – further information from Noeleen at 086 8516939

 CPR Revalidation
CPR Revalidation takes place Thursday Feb 27th in Fenagh Visitor Centre from 8-10pm.

Community Games Swimming
2014 community games swimming will take place at Riversdale on the 12th March (Wednesday) at 6pm for ages 6 to 16. Notifications and entry forms distributed through the schools – catchment area Fenagh, Ballinamore, Drumreilly. Aughawillian, Aughnasheelin.

 Information and Communication Technology course
Scheduled to run full time for 20 weeks commencing end of March to Mid-August  (subject to numbers) in Ballinamore Development Co’s Enterprise Centre Willowfield road 071-9644881.  This fulltime programme has been designed to enable learners to develop their Ict,communication, numeracy, and job seeking skills to gain a national qualification at level 3 on the national framework of qualification. Basic Computer Classes
FREE Basic Computer Classes starting soon in Ballinamore Library.  Course is funded by FÁS and FÁS eligibility applies.  For more information or to Register your interest please contact Aidan on 071-9158700. Limited number of places available.

Next Sunday ( first Sunday in March) is the beginning of a new regime: there will be a short cycle for beginners and a long cycle for those who wish to do a longer one. Experienced members will take it in turns doing the shorter cycle with the beginners. Hope to see a whole crowd of beginners this Sunday coming! The groups meets outside the Courthouse, Ballinamore at 9 a.m. Sunday mornings.
