Moth Productions presents “A Lock of Fierce Roars”
Fenagh Development is hosting a comedy play called “A Lock of Fierce Roars” by Moth productions on Friday 21st February at 8:30pm in Fenagh Community Centre. This play has been written by the well known playwright John McManus who previously wrote the “ Quare Land”.  Tickets €10 will be on sale in Fenagh Visitors Centre. Tickets will also be on sale this weekend in the Community Centre after Saturday Evening Mass and Sunday morning Mass. Proceeds go towards Community Centre running costs. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

 Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café, Hall rental/meeting space). Opening hours this week: Mon-Fri Feb 3rd-7th from 10am-5.30pm and Sat/Sun Feb 8/9th from 12-5.30pm. Free internet access (Wi-Fi), local newspapers and tourist information available to all visitors. Also visit our website at www.fenagh.com which features lots of information on historical Fenagh, upcoming classes and events, Monk’s Den playtime and birthday rates, and other facilities on offer. Old Records & Photos
If you or somebody you know have any old photos, records, documents etc you would like to either donate to the Centre or leave with us so we can take a copy please drop in and see Teresa – we are also looking for donations of frames new or old (in good condition) to display our growing collection.

Saturdays 10-11am – Cookery club for kids (waitlist at moment)

Art/Pilates classes
Anybody interested in oil painting or Pilates classes can call Centre at 9645590 to put your name down.

A Painting and Drawing Weekend will be taking place on 8th/9th February at Lissagarvan Studio, 1/2 mile from Fenagh Village.  Suitable for all levels, the classes are very informal with individual attention.  40 euro for 1 day or 75 euro for the weekend.  If you are interested and wish to book or would like more info.  Tel Cathy 083 3929001.

St. Vincent De Paul
St. Brigid’s Conference Ballinamore would like to thank each and everyone who contributed so generously to our annual Christmas Church gate collection. We thank the people of Corraleehan, Aughawillan, Drumreilly, Aughnasheelin Fenagh and  Ballinamore and all who helped out in whatever way. The total monies collected were 6386 Euro. We thank Philomena Earley and the students of Fatima School who raised 310Euro and to Anne Marie Madden and her students who brought in food to the value of approx 300Euro. We are grateful to the teachers and students for their generous initiative Thank You. We thank the Staff of Supervalue and Tesco Ballinamore who collected and supplied SVDP with clothes, food, and toys. We also thank you for allowing us to have a collection outside your stores and again thanks to the public who gave a combined total 1342Euro. We wish Supervalue and Tesco continued success in 2014. Finally to the people who gave donations, clothes and household items for distribution we say thank you for your generosity. People’s generosity this year was fantastic and it helped to make Christmas very special for almost 100 homes in our local community. Community Games
Community Games Ballinamore area (including Aughnasheelin Aughawillan Drumreilly & Fenagh) are having a meeting in Smyths Siopa Ol on Monday 10th of February at 9pm This meeting will organise a schedule of events the area will participate at County Community Games. Events include Athletics, Art, team sports from Gaelic Football to badminton, dance etc. For a full list see – http://www.communitygames.ie/activities.html. If you have a child interested in participating please come to this meeting to ensure the area enters in these events.

Ballinamore Musical Society

Dates for your diary: For family and friends living away from Ballinamore the following are the dates for this year’s show ‘Crazy for You’ Sat 22nd, Sun 23rd Wed 26th Thurs 27th Fri 28th Feb and Sat 1st March. It promises to be a super night’s entertainment, packed full of comedy, song and dance.  Don’t miss it!
