Fenagh Community Centre  – Official Opening -28th March
The Official Opening of Fenagh Community Centre will take place  on Friday 28th March at 5pm when the centre will be officially opened by Muredach Walsh.  All are welcome on this very special occasion. To celebrate the official opening, there will be a function in the Community Centre later that night with the “Rainbow Band” kicking off at 9:30pm for a great night of music and dance. Admission €10.

Senior Scor Set Dancers
Congratulation to the Fenagh St Caillins Set Dancers who won the Connacht title once again and have now qualified for the All Ireland Finals. Well done to the dancers, Jeanette Leyden, Michelle McLoughlin, Adeline McWeeney, Ashling O’Rourke, Martin Doonan, Ronan Ellis, Shane McHugh,  and Seamus McWeeney. Well done also to their mentors Eileen Doonan and Teresa Ellis who had them so well prepared

Table Quiz  – Battle of the Townlands.
A Table Quiz will be held in the Abbey Bar on Friday 4th April starting at 9pm with teams taking part representing their own townlands from Fenagh and surrounding areas.  Table of 4 is €20. All proceeds from Quiz will go to the North west Hospice. Promises to be a great nights craic

U 8’s and U 10’s Boys Training
Coaching for Fenagh St Caillins u8’s and u10’s recommences on Saturday next 29th March in the park at 10am

Fenagh Community Playgroup is now enrolling for September 2014.  We cater for children aged from 2 years 9 months up to 5 years.  We also provide places under the  ECCE programme.  If your child is going to school in September 2015 and born between 2nd February 2010 to 30th June 2011 they are entitled to avail of the FREE pre-school year.  The Playgroup also has a number of spaces currently available if you wish to enrol your child you can call into the Playgroup at Fenagh Community Centre or phone the Playgroup Leader Ceara on 086-3593244

Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café, Hall rental/meeting space). Opening hours this week: Mon-Fri March 31st-April 4th from 10am-5.30pm and Sat/Sun April 5/6th from 12-5.30pm . Free internet access (Wi-Fi), local newspapers and tourist information available to all visitors. Follow us on Facebook ‘fenaghvisitorcentre’. Also visit our website at www.fenagh.com which features lots of information on historical Fenagh, upcoming classes and events, Monk’s Den playtime and birthday rates, and other facilities on offer. Old Records & Photos
If you or somebody you know have any old photos, records, documents etc you would like to either donate to the Centre or leave with us so we can take a copy please drop in and see Teresa – we are also looking for donations of frames new or old (in good condition) to display our growing collection.

Fenagh Active Age Social
Fenagh Active Age Group are holding their Annual Social in the newly refurbished Community Centre (next to Fenagh church) on Tuesday April 8th at 8.30pm.  Music by Pauric Sweeney.  Refreshments will be served and a raffle will be held on the night.  Members of all Active Age groups will be welcome.  Admission fee is 8 euros

Corraleehan heritage & culture society presents  the sliabh an iarainn players the production of   “big maggie” by john b Keane  and produced by frank cadem in clogher old school on 28th 29th  march @ 8.30 sharp.a night of pure drama not to be missed .for bookings

40K Lough Gill Scenic Cycle Acquired Brain Injury Ireland  are holding their annual fundraising cycle on Sunday the 13th April 2014. This promises to be a fun 40K cycle around Lough Gill.Registration €15.00 from 9am on the morning of the cycle at the  Community Brain Injury Service, Transitional Living Unit, Tonaphubble Sligo, beside the Racecourse. Cycle starts at 10am sharp , refreshments will be provided en route and at the end of the cycle.All donations will go locally to the development of services for people in the Sligo, Leitrim and west Cavan area who have an Acquired Brain Injury.For further information regarding the cycle or the service,  contact: The Brain Injury Transitional Unit on 0719153472.

Glimpses of GaradiceAs part of the Leitrim County Library Winter Lecture Series, “Glimpses of Garadice” will take place in the Library in Ballinamore on Tuesday April 1st at 8 pm. This presentation by Des Quinn is about the townland of Garadice and the surrounding area from the earliest times up to the end of the twentieth century. It proved to be a very popular event when it was first presented to a full house in August of last year.  Once again everyone is welcome; admission is FREE but come early to avoid disappointment

125 Years of Sean O’Heslins……….The Club and the Community”On Wednesday 19th March at 8pm, Tommy Moran will give a talk in Ballinamore Library on the history of Sean O’Heslins GAA Club and the Community of Ballinamore. An evening not to be missed.Admission to this event is free and all are welcome..
