Fenagh St Caillins GAA Race Night
Fenagh St Caillins presents a night at the races in Quinns Bar on Easter Saturday night April 19th (rescheduled date). This is one of the main fundraisers for the year and your support would be greatly appreciated. Horses can be sponsored by contacting any Club Member. All are welcome to a good night’s entertainment.
Fenagh St Caillins Scrap Collection
The club are organising a scrap collection in the coming weeks. Anyone wishing to get rid of scrap can contact any club member.
Fenagh Community Playgroup
Fenagh Community Playgroup is now enrolling for September 2014. We cater for children aged from 2 years 9 months up to 5 years. We also provide places under the ECCE programme. If your child is going to school in September 2015 and born between 2nd February 2010 to 30th June 2011 are entitled to avail of the FREE pre-school year. The Playgroup also has a number of spaces currently available if you wish to enrol your child you can call into the Playgroup at Fenagh Community Centre or phone the Playgroup Leader Ceara on 086-3593244.

Fenagh Tidy Towns – Volunteers Needed
As part of An Taisce’s Spring Clean Campaign and our Tidy Towns initiative, we are organising a series of clean-up sessions (morning/evening) over the next few months around Fenagh village and surrounds to keep on top of litter control, weeding and general tidyup. Volunteers needed to help out, no experience necessary!. First session is Wednesday April 30th – meet Fenagh Visitor Centre at 11am. Tea/coffee for all helpers afterwards.
New ICA Group
The Irish Countrywomens Association are seeking interest in setting up a new group in Fenagh and the surrounding area. If you would like to get involved please contact Fenagh Visitor Centre on 9645590 to put your name down. The group is aimed at women aged 16 and upwards. Training for Childminders and potential Childminders will take place on Saturday 10th and Saturday 24th May from 10am to 4pm in the Food Hub, Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim. Easter in Ballinamore Library
Calling all children: Borrow a book. Your name goes in the hat – Draw for Easter egg will take place on Thursday 17th April at 5pm. Please note Ballinamore library will be closed Friday 18th April, Saturday 19th April and Monday 21st April. Reopening at 10am Tuesday 22nd April. Film Hour in Ballinamore Library. On Tuesday 22nd April at 7.30pm, come along to the library to see the Oscar Nominated film “Philomena” starring Judi Dench and Steve Colgan. Admission Free and all welcome.
“Draw with Dawn”
On Thursday 24th April, there will be an afternoon of Easter Cartoon Drawing with Dawn Mc Keon in Ballinamore Library starting at 2.30pm. This is for children aged between 7 and 13 years. Places are limited. Bookings can be made by contacting the Library at 071 9645566.
Free eye screening in Ballinamore
Special screening for Age Related Macular Degeneration, an eye disease that can lead to blindness if left undetected. All people over 50 years old should have this special screening done if they have a family history of ARMD, high blood pressure or cholesterol,diabetes, experience any change in vision or if they are smokers. This screening will be FREE and is strictly by appointment. Screening will take place in Ballinamore Eye clinic on Thursday April 17th and Tuesday April 22nd. Cancer Research / North West Hospice Walk/Run
The Annual 5k/10k May walk, run or roll in aid of Cancer Research / North West Hospice will take place on Sunday May 11th 2014 starting from Aughnasheelin Community Centre at 2 p.m. Registration on the day from 1pm – €10. If you are a member of a walking/running club why not get club members to join in – you will not only support a good cause but you will also bring your friends and families together for a great fun afternoon!!
