On Tuesday 24th June at 7.30pm you can come along to Ballinamore library and see the film the “Railway Man” Based on a true story this is an inspiring tale of heroism and redemption. During the Second World War Eric Lomax is captured and held prisoner by the Japanese. Brutally tortured and forced along with his fellow captives to build the Thai-Burma Railway. Eric is left traumatised for years to come, many years later an older Lomax tracks down one of his torturers hoping to find answers that will enable him to let go of the hatred he has felt throughout his life. “The Railway Man” is poignant, extraordinary and deeply affecting drama exploring the after-effects of war and the power of forgiveness.
