Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café, Hall rental/meeting space). Opening hours this week: Mon-Fri June 23rd-27th from 10am-5.30pm and Sat/Sun June 28/29th from 12-5.30pm . G4M&O
Our G4M&O is tipping along nicely. We are collecting 12 euro registration at the minute – thanks to those who have paid already. We’ll be organising a game over the next few weeks to showcase all we have learned so far. All ladies over 18 are welcome – we meet every Saturday morning at the pitch in Fenagh at 10am. All you need to bring is yourself and a sense of humour!
Fenagh Community Playgroup
Fenagh Community Playgroup is now enrolling for September 2014. We cater for children aged from 2 years 9 months up to 5 years. We also provide places under the ECCE programme. If your child is going to school in September 2015 and born between 2nd February 2010 to 30th June 2011, they are entitled to avail of the FREE pre-school year. The Playgroup also has a few spaces currently available, if you wish to enrol your child you can call into the Playgroup at Fenagh Community Centre or phone the Playgroup Leader Ceara on 086 3593244.
Dawn’s Art Camp
Summer summer summer … Get your colours out and your imagination going. It’s time for Dawn’s Art Camp. We will be painting, drawing, making and designing. The camp will run from Monday 30th June – Thursday 3rd July. Junior Camp 1st, 2nd & 3rd class in the morning.Senior Camp 4th, 5th & 6th class afternoon. New venue the Lollipops childcare building. Film “The Railway Man” Ballinamore Library
On Tuesday 24th June at 7.30pm you can come along to Ballinamore library and see the film the “Railway Man” Based on a true story this is an inspiring tale of heroism and redemption. During the Second World War Eric Lomax is captured and held prisoner by the Japanese. Brutally tortured and forced along with his fellow captives to build the Thai-Burma Railway. Eric is left traumatised for years to come, many years later an older Lomax tracks down one of his torturers hoping to find answers that will enable him to let go of the hatred he has felt throughout his life. “The Railway Man” is poignant, extraordinary and deeply affecting drama exploring the after-effects of war and the power of forgiveness.
