BALLINAMORE AREA COMMUNITY COUNCIL ELECTIONS
The Ballinamore Area Community Council  Ltd elections under the revised Articles of Association have now been fixed for Wednesday June 25th at 9 00 p.m. in the new Community Hall/Scout Den. Each organisation, cultural, sports or otherwise in each parish will have one vote in electing two candidates  to represent their parish and one vote in electing three candidates to represent the entire area. Organisations must be registered with the Leitrim Community Forum to participate and it is vital that each organisation check the current listing on the Community Forum website  www.leitrimcommunity.com  to ensure that they are so registered and that contact details are up to date. This is particularly important as the same database will be used by the Local Authority next month for the purpose of information and election meetings relating to the new Municipal Area requirements and also in relation to the Leitrim Development Company regional  elections later in the year.
