Congratulations to the Fenagh U13 Boys Community Games Handball team of Cormac Scollan, Eoin McLoughlin, Caolan McDermott, James Wrynn Andrew and Sean Kelly who won The Connacht Title in Tuam on Saturday and go on to The Community Games Finals in Athlone in August.
Connacht Fleadh
Congratulations to Katie Conefrey on achieving a 2nd place in solo singing in the Connacht Fleadh and has qualified for the All Ireland Fleadh in Sligo.
Fundraiser for Down Syndrome Ireland
Ice-cream Party in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland – Sunday July 13th at Fenagh Visitor Centre 12-4pm – all welcome for ice-cream, face painting, music, games and indoor playtime.
Cemetery Sunday
Takes place on Sunday next 13th July with mass in the parish church at 11:30am for all the deceased. This will be followed by blessing of the graves in the new graveyard and in the abbey graveyard. A collection for the upkeep of the graveyards will take place on the day. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
Under 12 Longford/ Leitrim Cross Border Shield Champions
Congratulations to Fenagh St Caillins under 12’s on winning the U 12 Shield. beating Allen Gaels in the final on a scoreline of 9-15 to 2-3. Well done to all involved.

Summer Parent & Baby/Toddler Group
The official Parent & Toddler Group has finished for the Summer and will resume in September. The Centre is offering a Summer Saver Deal for all parents/carers/babies/toddlers on Thurs and Friday mornings 10-12pm in July and August – Kids 2 euro, Adults 3 euro. Refreshments served.
Kids Summer Camp (4- 10 yrs)

Fenagh Community Playgroup
Fenagh Community Playgroup is now enrolling for September 2014. We cater for children aged from 2 years 9 months up to 5 years. We also provide places under the ECCE programme. If your child is going to school in September 2015 and born between 2nd February 2010 to 30th June 2011, they are entitled to avail of the FREE pre-school year. The Playgroup also has a few spaces currently available, if you wish to enrol your child you can call into the Playgroup at Fenagh Community Centre or phone the Playgroup Leader Ceara on 086 3593244.
Catherine Vallely launches her book in Ballinamore Library
Ballinamore Author Catherine Vallely invites you to the launch of her new book “Twists and Turns of Time” in Ballinamore Library on Wednesday 16 July at 8pm. Spanish Wine and Tapas will be served as we listen to Flamingo music and see slides of Madrid. Catherine will read extracts from her stories about Co. Film “The Book Thief” Ballinamore Library
On Tuesday 15th July at 7.30pm you can come along to Ballinamore library and see the film the “The Book Thief”.
