Christmas Lights
The Village Christmas Lights will be switched on this Saturday evening 6th December at 5:30pm by Santa Claus. Santa Claus will then give out presents to all the children in Quinns Lounge afterwards.

Fenagh Tidy Towns Christmas Hamper Draw
Christmas Hamper for raffle by Fenagh Tidy Towns Committee – 2 euro per line. Second Prize Bottle of Brandy, Third Prize Box Biscuits. Hamper includes all you need for a very festive Christmas including a 30 euro meat voucher from Scollans Butchers.  Lines can be bought at Fenagh Visitor Centre and local outlets. Drumkeerin Drama Group – “Dillons American Wake”
A great night was had by all at the play put on by Andrew Redican and his crew of 30 plus. It was a great night’s entertainment depicting what an American wake was like in Ireland back in the 40’s and 50’s. Thanks to Andrew and the Drumkeerin Drama Group for their great show. Thanks to our MC on the night Oliver Doonan who provided the entertainment before the play and during the interval. Thanks to all who attended on the night and who purchased tickets for the raffle. Thanks to all who helped out on the night and helped make it such a great success.

Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café, Hall rental/meeting space). Mon to Friday 10.00-5.30pm and Sat/Sunday  12-5.30pm.  Free internet access (Wi-Fi), local newspapers and tourist information available to all visitors. Follow us on Facebook ‘fenaghvisitorcentre’. Canon Donohoe Hall, Mohill on Thursday December 4th from 3-6pm.  This event is about informing people how they can save money, save on energy costs and get advice on what support may be available to them. Admission is FREE all are welcome”

Boost your career prospects with a Fetac Level 5 Information Technology qualification at Mohill Computer Training.  Run in conjunction with Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim Education & Training Board, this full-time Computer Applications for the Workplace course will run from January until September 2015 and includes Word Processing, Database Methods, Presentation Software, Desktop Publishing, Spreadsheet Methods, Web Authoring, Image Processing, Internet, Information Systems and a work placement during the course.  Training allowances are payable to eligible participants.  For more information, call Liam at 9632024, email info@mct.ie or just drop in to MCT in the Enterprise Centre, Ballinamore Road for more details.

Fenagh Defibrillator Committee
Up-to-date leaflets with names and phone numbers of trained personnel in CPR and Defibrillation in your area are now available for collection in the Church Porch and Fenagh Visitors Centre.  The areas are Fenagh National School Area, Fenagh Football Pitch Area , Foxfield Church Area , Drumharkin Area and Cornaborne Area . One available for each house and only take the leaflet relevant to your area. If you know somebody who is unable to collect this information leaflet we would be obliged if you can arrange to take it for them.  It is important that all houses in the Parish have this information leaflet.

Ceile Dancing
Ceile Dancing will take place in Gorvagh Community Centre on Monday 8th December   2014 starting at 8:30pm to 10:30pm. All welcome.

Assorted Fitness Charity Christmas Party
On Monday the 15th of Dec at 7.30pm in Ballinamore Community Centre the Assorted Fitness Christmas party is taking place. A fun filled night is guaranteed with lots of music and dancing, along with cooking, hair and beauty demonstrations. Refreshments tea and coffee will be served and amazing prizes are up for grabs in the raffle. All donations on the night will be going to SHOUT Sligo Hospital Oncology Unit Trust and The North West Hospice. All welcome, for further information contact Michelle Fanning on 0879390980


‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse; There will be a lot stirring in the Hunt Hall, Castle Street, Mohill on Sunday evening 7th December when the Sweet Spirit Gospel Choir takes to the stage for their Christmas Show ‘Sleigh Bells Ring’ which starts at 8pm sharp! Come along, take your mind of the everyday worries & kick start this Christmas in Mohill Town. A great evening of song and music along with a visit from Santa himself! Beneficiaries: St. Mary’s Parish Mohill and Mohill Family Support Centre.

Film Morning for Children Ballinamore Library “The Dog Who Saved Christmas”
The Bannister family’s new addition, Zeus, the yellow Labrador and former K-9 police hero, appears to be less than the dependable guard dog the family needs. However, when two burglars set out to break into the Bannister’s home while they are away for Christmas Eve, Zeus seizes the chance to be a hero, proving every dog even this one has his day. Bring the kids along to Ballinamore Library on Saturday morning 6th December at 11.30am to see this heart-warming story “The Dog Who Saved Christmas” and have a look at the large selection of Christmas books now in stock.
