Castlefore Development Church Gate Collection – Sat 2nd and Sunday 3rd May
Anyone passing Castlefore lake at the moment can see the great Amenity Area is progressing nicely. It is hoped that it will be finished in time for summer all going well. Castlefore Development are having a Church Gate collection on the  2nd and 3rd of May for funding so we will be very appreciative of all the support we can get.

School Variety Show
The little Abbey Drama troupe are performing in “Beauty isn’t everything” along with a variety show involving St Caillins National School in Fenagh Community Centre at 7:15pm on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th May. Due to limited seating, Tickets will be on sale through the school , The Visitors Centre and Beirnes Shop from Wednesday 29th April.

Minor League Champions
Congratulations to the Minor team who captured the 13 a side Minor League with a great win over Dromahair on Tuesday evening last in a high scoring final on a scoreline of 5-15 to 4-10. Well done to the whole panel and to the management team of Bobby O’Rourke and Tommy Smith on having the team so well prepared for the game.

Under 14’s
Hard luck to the under 14 team who lost out narrowly to St Marys. Well done to the panel of players and the management team of TP McLoughlin, Johnny McGovern and Joe McDermott for getting them to the final.

Leitrim Youth Theatre Group
Leitrim Youth Theatre Group are presenting a play called “Cloud Busting” which is based on a teenager who is faced with his friend being bullied and how he stands by his friend. Hannah Keegan, Bronwyn Keegan and Sean McLoughlin are starring in the play. Shows on Friday Night 1st May and Sat night 2nd May in the Dock in Carrick on Shannon starting at 8pm.

The Blood Transfusion mobile unit team will return again to the Community Centre, Ballinamore on Wednesday 29th April 2015.  It will be open from 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.  If you can attend the clinic, the best time would be from 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. Some 3000 units/pints of blood are needed overall each week to cater for emergency and routine cases requiring transfustions of blood and blood products in hospitals all over the country.  Thanks to everyone who attended the last clinic.  Please come again to the Community Centre, Ballinamore on Wednesday 29th April, 2015 and why not bring a friend.

Fenagh Community Playgroup
Fenagh Community Playgroup is now enrolling for September 2015. We cater for children aged from 2 years 9 months up to 5 years. We also provide places under the ECCE programme. If your child is going to school in September 2016 and born between 2nd February 2011 to 30th June 2012 they are entitled to avail of the FREE pre school year. Mental Health Awareness Evening
A Mental Health Awareness night take place in the Ramada Hotel, Drumshanbo on Thursday May 7th at 8pm.Guest speakers such as Dr.Murthy, Consultant Psychiatrist for Leitrim, Patricia Hannon ,Psychologist & Bereavement councillor,Denis O Brien Co Ordinator of services and Mark Harte, brother of Michaela Mc Alreavy.The MC on the night is Charlie Mc Gettigan, Eurovision winner. Your attendance would be greatly appreciated and  get people to attend on the night and help them engage in Positive Mental Health Promotion in Leitrim.

Fenagh St. Caillins GAA have registered for the Topaz Cash for Clubs initiative currently running at participating Topaz Fuel Stations The club would be grateful if all club members and customers in the community could start to collect stamps on campaign cards available from local Topaz stations. You’ll receive one stamp once you spend €40 on fuel purchases. Completed cards can be handed into the club secretary. Thank you for your support.

Film Hour “The Secret Life of Bees” Ballinamore Tuesday 5th May at 7.30pm
On Tuesday evening at 7.30pm the weekly Film Hour resumes in Ballinamore library with “The Secret Life of Bees” Based on the novel of the same name; In the summer of 1964, a 14-year-old white girl (Dakota Fanning) escapes her abusive father and finds refuge with an eccentric African-American beekeeper and her two sisters who help her solve a mystery related to her late mother. Who is the Judge?
Judge John J. Sharkey (Brian Reilly Cornmill Theatre) will be presiding over the case ‘WestClare Railway Company sues Percy French’ on Sunday night 3rd May 2015 commencing 9pm sharp! Special Sitting of Mohill District Court where Percy(Frank Cadam) is sued for libel  and slander with his song ‘ The West Clare Railway’, otherwise known as ‘ Are ya right there Michael are ya right!’. Come and see the Hunt Hall transformed into a court room for this case. The case will be followed by a short performance of some of Percy’s well known works! Come early to avoid disappointment! Admission €10 including a glass (or two) or wine!

Old Time Dance!
Tango’s, Jives, Walzes and foxtrots will be in full swing in the Hunt Hall, Castle Street, Mohill on Saturday night 2nd May 2015 as part of the ‘Percy Party’ weekend in Mohill. The specially formed ‘KillyPottle Mintrel Dance Band’ from Cavan will provide the music and the dance kicks off at 9pm sharp!  Tea, Ham Sandwiches, Boxty and minerals will be provided on the night! Keep that date free for a night of great fun!
