Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café, Hall rental/meeting space). Mon to Friday 10.00-5.30pm and Sat/Sunday 12-5.30pm. Heritage Week Events in Fenagh
Heritage Week runs from Aug 22nd-Aug 30th this year. There will be lecture entitled “The Historical Importance of Fenagh” on Tuesday Aug 25th at 8.30pm in Fenagh Community Centre (not Visitor Centre as originally advertised) given by Dr Brendan Scott, Lecturer in History, Maynooth University with particular reference to the Book of Fenagh which celebrates its 500th year in 2016. We are also offering guided tours to the Abbeys and Church of Ireland Aug 28-30th starting at 2pm and on Saturday Aug 29th we will be hosting Fenagh Visitor Centre’s 10th Birthday celebrations from 2-5pm. All events are free. We are also looking for any items you may have (documents, photos, newspapers etc) relevant to the 1916 Easter Rising period which we will put on display for next year’s Centenary Commemorations. Kids Bricks Club: Ballinamore Library
Kids Bricks Club is a creative brick building and social activity club for girls and boys, and is suitable for children aged 4-12 taking place in Ballinamore Library on Thursday 20th August from 3 to 4pm. This event is free, but early booking is essential as places are limited. To make a booking call the library at 071 9645566 to avoid disappointment. Workshops provide children with the opportunity to create designs from their imagination. Our challenges call for teamwork to build the tallest towers, the longest bridges or the most mini-figures. Remember Kiddies Movie each Saturday at 2.30pm admission and all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Improve your skills and job prospects with a QQI Level 5 accredited IT qualification at Mohill Computer Training. The course will run from October 2015 until September 2016. Ballinamore Development Co. Enterprise Centre : The following Course is scheduled to commence 15th September 2015 (subject to numbers), Information Technology Skills Course , Level 3 Q Q I Certificate in : Information/Communication/Technology skills. Word Processing: Typing, editing text, saving documents and printing. Computer Literacy: Learning about theory elements of the computer/Internet/Hardware/Software. Internet Skills: Using the internet to look for information and setting up and using an email account. Spread Sheets: Using the computer to create spreadsheets and charts. Communications: Skills for reading, writing and interacting with people. Mathematics: Introduction to maths covering addition/subtraction/multiplication/fractions/percentages/decimals and drawing to scale. Each Module will take 6/7 weeks to complete: running for 2 days per week ( Tuesday & Wednesday from 10am to 1pm, 3 hours per morning). NOTE All Modules must be completed to achieve full award.
