Community Games
Fenagh’s latest All Ireland Champions ! Pride of place this week goes to the u 10 boys and the u 12 girls from fenagh who were part of the Ballinamore Area Community Games Football Teams who brought home medals at the weekend from the National Community Games Finals in Athlone. Congratulations to the Ballinamore Area Community Games under 10 boys gaelic team who were crowned all Ireland champions and gold medal winners at the National Community Games Finals in Athlone at the weekend. Fenagh were well represented on the team with James Gilheany, Dara Greenan, Colm McLoughlin, Ruari O Rourke and Adam Reynolds and their coach Bobby O’Rourke. A great achievement.  Also the u 12 girls gaelic team who were bronze medal winners at the National Community Games Finals in Athlone at the weekend in what was also a great achievement. Again Fenagh were well represented  on this team with Aoibhinn Greenan, Caoimhe McDermott, Megan O Rourke, Ashling Redican, Leah Smith and Sarah Wrynn and coaches Tommy Smith and Shane O’Rourke. Well done to all involved.

Athletics – Community Games
A week earlier Ellie O Rourke came home with a medal finishing in fourth position in the girls cross country in the National Community Games Finals in Athlone. Whilst Ellie O Rourke and Daniel McLoughlin were part of the Leitrim team who claimed 4th place in the u 13 Cross Country

Progressive 25 – Fenagh Handball Club
Progressive 25 starts on Thursday September 10th in Fenagh Community Centre at 8.30pm in aid of Fenagh Handball Club. The first 2 nights are Beginner’s Nights with the League commencing on September 24th. League prizes (Sponsored by Conefry’s Abbey Bar), Nightly prizes and Jackpots. Entry €8 with refreshments served.

Back to School Coffee Morning
Coffee Morning in Fenagh Visitor Centre for parents of the new Junior Infant class – organised by Fenagh NS Parent’s Association – Sept 1st 9-10.30am.  All welcome.

Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café, Hall rental/meeting space). Heritage Week Events in Fenagh
Guided tours to the Abbeys and Church of Ireland Aug 27-30th starting at 2pm and on Saturday Aug 29th we will be hosting Fenagh Visitor Centre’s 10th Birthday celebrations from 2-5pm.  All events are free.

FENAGH COMMUNITY PLAYGROUP
Fenagh Community Playgroup reopens on Tuesday 1st September at 9.00 a.m. Best of luck to the children who have left the playgroup to start school.  We are still enrolling for September 2015 for children aged from 2 years 9 months up to 5 years. We also provide places under the ECCE programme.  If your child is going to school in September 2016 and born between 2nd February 2011 to 30th June 2012 they are entitled to avail of the FREE pre-school year.  If you wish to enrol your child phone Ceara on 086 3593244.

Gorvagh Community Centre
A scrap metal collection has been organised in aid of the Roof Fundraiser with a collection point at the Gorvagh Community Centre. If you have any scrap metal you would like disposed of, you can drop these items at Gorvagh Community Centre on Saturday 5th September between 10am and 5pm. These items will be collected by Gormley Waste. All items containing any type of metal will be collected except TV’s, fridges, beer kegs and gas cylinders. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

 Information Technology Skills Course.
Ballinamore Development Co. Enterprise Centre : The following Course is scheduled to commence 15th September 2015 (subject to numbers), Information Technology Skills Course , Level 3 Q Q I Certificate in : Information/Communication/Technology skills. Word Processing: Typing, editing text, saving documents and printing. Computer Literacy: Learning about theory elements of the computer/Internet/Hardware/Software. Internet Skills: Using the internet to look for information and setting up and using an email account.Spread Sheets: Using the computer to create spreadsheets and charts. Communications: Skills for reading, writing and interacting with people. Mathematics: Introduction to maths covering addition/subtraction/multiplication/fractions/percentages/decimals and drawing to scale. Each Module will take 6/7 weeks to complete: running for 2 days per week ( Tuesday & Wednesday from 10am to 1pm, 3 hours per morning)  NOTE All Modules must be completed to achieve full award. Induction Date: 8th September 2015 from 10am to 11:30am. Course Interview Date: 9th September 2015 ( Time to be confirmed). Course Commences: 15th September 2015   Ends 31st  September 2016. County Leitrim Citizens Information Service holds a free weekly advice clinic at the Mohill Library every Friday from 3pm – 4:30 pm. Information and advice on a wide range topics such as social welfare, health services, employment law, redundancy, income tax, housing, family law, consumer affairs, local organisations and services. So if you need advice on medical cards, help with filling in a pension form, claiming a tax refund or if you just need information on any government or local service, just phone or call in to our Mohill Outreach Clinic, Services also provided in Carrick on Shannon, Drumshanbo and Manorhamilton. QQI Level 5 Computer Applications for the Workplace
Improve your career and third level prospects with a QQI Level 5 accredited IT qualification at Mohill Computer Training.
