Church Gate Collection
St. Caillins NS, Fenagh Parents Association will be holding a church gate collection Sat 6th of Feb and Sun the 7th of Feb.  All donations greatly appreciated.

Progressive 25 Card Game
Progressive 25 Winter/Spring League continues this Thursday January 28th in Fenagh Community Centre at 8.30. League prizes (Sponsored by Conefrey’s Abbey Bar), Nightly prizes and Jackpot. Entry €8 with refreshments served. Last week’s winners were K Foley 8 games, J Gill 7 games  All new players welcome. Proceeds in aid of Fenagh Handball Club.

Jiving Classes at Fenagh Community Centre
There was a great turnout for the fourth of five jiving classes with tutors Colin & Annette last Sunday evening.  Class continues on the following date: Sunday Feb 7th at 7.30-9pm.

Scor Quiz
Question time team who performed very well at the Scor Finals in Killarney last weekend The team were as follows:-Mark Keegan, Owen Mc Loughlin, Riordan O Rourke, David Wrynn and their mentor Vincent O Rourke who had them very well prepared.

Leitrim GAA Awards
On Saturday night last members from Fenagh St Caillins GAA Club and Fenagh Handball Club picked up no less than 6 awards at the Leitrim GAA Awards Ceremony for 2015 held in the Bush Hotel. Well done to all the recipients of the awards. They are as follows:- County Minor Player of the Year – Ryan O Rourke, County U-16 Player of the Year – Jack Gilheany, Young Referee of the Year – Patrick Guckian, Juvenile Handballer of the Year – David Wrynn, Club Grounds of the Year – Fenagh St Caillins  and Senior Handballer of the Year – Barry McDonagh.

Senior Citizens Party
A great day was had by all at the recent Senior Citizens Party. Approx 70 Senior Citizens attended on the day. Thanks to all those who helped make it such a great success. They are as follows:- Mary McHugh, Aideen Reynolds, Vera Wrynn, Hilary Greenan, Orla McKeon, Roisin Greenan, Rose McLoughlin, Saoirse Redican, Marie McGovern, and Owen McLoughlin who served up the meals, Betty Doonan, Bridget Dolan, Marie McGovern, Mary McCaffrey, Geraldine McGovern, Jane Crowley and Doreen Honeyman  who had everyone up dancing  with Ramblin Fever providing the music, Peter Kilkenny- who kept everyone watered, Oliver Doonan who was MC , Eugene O Riordain, Teresa Lennon and Patrick Curran. Thanks to Tommy and Fionnoula from Clara Catering for providing a great 2 course meal on the day. Thanks to Pat and Ann Maguire for donating the Christmas Cake for the occasion. Thanks to Noel and Sinead Conefry for providing the keg of guinness for the party and the use of glasses. Also thanks to all who either donated money or spot prizes for the raffle.

St. Vincent De Paul
St. Brigid’s Conference Ballinamore would like to thank each and everyone who contributed so generously to our annual Christmas Church gate collection. We thank the people of Corraleehan, Aughawillan, Drumreilly, Aughnasheelin, Fenagh and  Ballinamore and all who helped out in whatever way. The total monies collected was 6520Euro. We thank the Principal and staff of Ballinamore Community School particularly Philomena Earley and the students who raised 236Euro. We are grateful to the teachers and students for their generous initiative Thank You. We thank the Staff of Supervalue and Tesco Ballinamore who collected and supplied SVDP with clothes, food, and toys. We also thank Supervalus for allowing us to have a collection outside your store and again thanks to the public who contributed 1060Euro. We wish Supervalue and Tesco continued success in 2016. A special thank you to the Lions Club Ck ON Shannon who organised  the “Lions Club Food Appeal” in Tesco. We thank the public who generously donated food to the value of 1200Euro.. The food donated was given to Saint Vincent de Paul for distribution in the Ballinamore and surrounding area.  Finally to the people who wish to remain anonymous who gave donations, money hampers, clothes  books and household items for distribution we say thank you for your generosity and kindness. People’s generosity this year was fantastic and it helped to make Christmas very special for almost 100 homes in our local community. Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café, Hall rental/meeting space). Aughawillan Drama Troupe

Men’s Fitness
The current block of men’s exercise classes held in Drumreilly Community Centre has now ended. New classes will commence at a later date. In the meantime we will meet on Wednesday nights in the Church car park at 8.30 pm for a weekly walk. All men welcome and wear a high-viz jacket.

SAFETALK TRAINING
In the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre on Wednesday 10 February 2016 from 9:30a.m. to 1:00p.m.  SAFETALK is a half day training programme that  prepares participants to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources. These specific skills are called suicide alertness and are taught with the expectation that the person learning them will use them to help reduce suicide risk in their communities. Participants learn how to provide practical help to persons with thoughts of suicide in only a few hours.
