Fenagh St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Starting at 2pm sharp on Thursday – anyone wishing to enter a float (it’s free) please proceed to Tully Lane at 1:30pm and follow the Stewards’ advice.
A first for the Parade is the introduction of a “Fenagh Finest” Trophy where all dogs (large or small) are welcome to parade through the Village – there is a prize for the best dressed or cutest four legged friend.

Easter Kids Camp
Tues & Wed March 22/23rd 12-4pm – 10 euro per child daily. For ages 4-9 yrs.  Call 9645590 to book

Easter Sunrise Service
At St Catherine’s Church, Fenagh there will be an Easter Sunday Sunrise Service on 27th March at 7am in the morning followed by tea/coffee and toast in the Visitor Centre afterwards.  We are hoping that the stained glass windows of the Church will make this a unique event for all who wish to attend.

Progressive 25 Card Game

There will be no 25 Card game on this Thursday, St Patricks Day. It will resume again on Thursday 24th March.League prizes (Sponsored by Conefrey’s Abbey Bar), Nightly prizes and Jackpot. Entry €8 with refreshments served. Last week’s winners were K Foley 8 games and P Gill 7 games. All new players welcome. Proceeds in aid of Fenagh Handball Club.

Fenagh Ladies GFC:  Sponsored Walk/Jog/Run
The date is Easter Monday, 28th March at 2pm starting at the Monks Den/Heritage Centre in Fenagh.  This year we are walking/jogging/running a new route which is 7KM.  This is a fun day out for all the family.  Sponsorship cards will be available this week for all club members.  All are welcome on the day when you can register for this event so mark your calendars.

Well done to Ellie O’Rourke who was Leitrims top performer and the third placed Connacht runner at the Glo Health All Ireland Schools Cross Country Championships which was held recently in Sligo.

Connacht Scor
Hard luck to the Fenagh St Caillins Set Dancers who narrowly lost out to Abbeyknockmoy Set Dancers in the Connacht Finals which were held in Lecarrow at the weekend. The dancers were Michelle McLoughlin, Adeline McWeeney, Jeanette Leydon, Shona McHugh, Martin Doonan, Ciallan O Rourke,Shane McHugh and Seamus McWeeney. Their mentors were Eileen Doonan and Teresa Ellis. Well done to all involved.

Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café, Hall rental/meeting space). Mon to Friday 10.00-5.30pm and Sat/Sunday 12-5.30pm. Sweet Spirit for Cavan Oncology
The Cavan Oncology Unit, Cavan General Hospital is to be the beneficiary of a concert by the Sweet Spirit Gospel Choir under the direction of Tish Dunleavy. The event will take place in the Cornmill Theatre, Carrigallen on Sunday evening 10th April at 8.30pm sharp! Special guests on the night will be the Leitrim Male Choir. Invitation to Ballinamore St. Patricks Day Parade
I hope everyone has their colours ready for the big parade.. The theme is “Irish is???” All are welcome to join in and if there is anyone out there who would like to help out we would appreciate it.. There are goodies for the kids, local  entertainment and prizes galore.. Best dressed, most original, typical and best dressed window.. And much more . The scouts will be there with their usual goodies stall and of course St Patrick. The meeting point is at Tesco @ 3:30 for parade at 4.
