Fundraiser for Tidy Towns
End of Summer Party taking place on Sunday 2nd October in Quinn’s Bar.  BBQ and Music strictly from 3pm to 5pm. face painting for children. Progressive 25 Card Game
Progressive 25 Autumn/Winter League continues this Thursday September 29th, in Fenagh Community Centre at 8.30pm. League prizes, Nightly prizes and Jackpots. Entry €8 with refreshments served. Last week’s winners were P Mulligan 6 games, E Lennon and S McLoughlin 5 games. All new players welcome. Proceeds in aid of Fenagh Handball Club.

Handball
Good luck to Cormac Scollan on Sunday next 2nd October in the U14 All Ireland Juvenile Semi-final when he plays Monaghan’s Eoghan McGinnity in the first of the semi finals which will start at 12:00 in Fenagh Handball Alley which are hosting the All-Ireland Juvenile Semi-Finals between Connacht and Ulster.

Congratulations to Micheal Bohan, Drumcara on his great success as manager in guiding Longford Ladies Junior team to an All Ireland success over Antrim on Sunday last.

Deepest Sympathy

Danger Money – Seamus O’Rourke Play
Seamus O Rourke’s latest play will be performed in Fenagh Community Centre on Saturday 8th October. Doors open 7.45pm / Start Time 8.30pm.  Tickets 10 euro.  Tickets available to purchase at the Visitor Centre or on the night.

Fenagh Gaelic for Mothers & Others (G4M&O) Cake Sale
Fenagh Gaelic for Mothers & Others are holding a cake sale directly after Mass on Sunday 2nd October in the Community Centre. Anyone wishing to donate baked goods may do so from 11am onward in the Community Centre and those who wish to purchase freshly baked goods may do so directly after Mass. Why not drop in for a cup of tea, perhaps a fresh crepe and take away something nice for your dessert! Your support would be gratefully appreciated

Jiving Classes
Annette & Colin will be back at Fenagh Community Centre starting Sunday Nov 13th at 7.30pm for 5 week of Jiving classes.

Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café, Hall rental/meeting space). Mon to Friday 10am-5.30pm and Sat/Sunday  12-5.30pm.  Free internet access (Wi-Fi), local newspapers and tourist information available to all visitors. Follow us on Facebook ‘fenaghvisitorcentre’. Pilates with Kieran continues on Thursdays 7pm at the Visitor Centre.  Pay as you go classes.

Pop-up Youth Café
Aimed at 11-15 year olds.  Friday Oct 21st from 7-8.30pm in the Visitor Centre. Food, Music, Games –a space to hang out with your friends for a little while on a Friday evening….come along on the night and see what it’s all about

Fenagh Baby & Toddler Group
The group runs on Thursday and Friday mornings throughout the year from 10am-12pm at the Visitor Centre. This group is aimed at mums/dads/grandparents/minders who have children in their care from newborn stage to age 5.  It provides a social outlet for both adults and children and is a great way to meet other parents in your area who are at the same stage as you.  As well as the indoor play area, there is wide range of age appropriate toys available for the children. Tea/coffee/scones served for adults and juice/toast for children.  Ample car parking and baby changing facilities available.  Fee 6 euro per adult.  All very welcome, no need to sign up, just come along any Thursday or Friday morning.

Country Music Extravaganza
Peter and Josephine McLoughlin, Mohill, Co Leitrim present a country music extravaganza in aid of “Join our Boys” and the Leitrim Association of People with Disabilities   on Monday 3rd October 2016 in the Landmark Hotel, Carrick on Shannon. Artists appearing include Seamus Moore (JCB Man) Patrick Feeney, Kieran Rosney, Shane Owens, Mick Flavin, Trevor Moyles, Kathy Durkin, Eunice Moran, Mary O’Connor and Olivia Douglas. Positive Aging Week 2016
As part of Positive Aging Week Ballinamore Library is screening  the DVD “Older than Ireland” at 3pm on Friday September 30.  Tea and coffee will be served with Free Admission and All Welcome.

RTÉ’s Joe Duffy and Myles Dungan for Library Centenary Event
Leitrim County Library Service is hosting a two-part Centenary event, comprising an evening performance of the songs and music of the era, followed by a day-long series of talks and presentations on 1916 and its legacy. The musical event takes place at The Dock on Friday 30th September at 8.30pm Tickets €10 – Bookings 071-9650828. The day of lectures takes place at the County Library on Saturday 1st October at 10am. This is a free event – Bookings 071-9645582. Speakers will include RTÉ’s Joe Duffy, who will speak about “The Children of the Rising”, and Myles Dungan, who will present on “The Rebel Courts Martial”. This event is presented as part of Leitrim 2016’s Centenary Programme.
