Congratulations to the Gaelic for Mothers and Others football team who graced the hallowed turf of Croke Park on Sunday last and gave a very good account of themselves in the game which took place at half time in the Intermediate Final . Well done to all involved

Progressive 25 Card Game Starts back
Fenagh Handball ClubProgressive 25 Autumn/Winter League starts this Thursday night September 28th in Fenagh Community Centre, starting at 8.30.  League prizes, Nightly prizes and Jackpots. Last week’s winners were W Conefrey 8 games and P Gibbons 6 games.  Entry €8 with refreshments served. All new players welcome. Proceeds in aid of Fenagh Handball Club.

Draughts Club
Draughts Club continue on Tuesday evenings, in Ballinamore Library,  from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Bring along your own board if you have one. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

1st Leitrim Scouts
AGM and Registration Night will take place on Wednesday 27th Sept. from 8-9pm in Ballinamore Scout Den (beside Sports Complex).  From ages 6-15 years, boys and girls. 

Fenagh Tidy Towns
The horsecart which forms part of the floral display in the village needs to be either replaced or significantly repaired for next year. If anybody has a cart or cart parts (eg wheel etc ) they would be willing to donate to Tidy Towns please give the Committee a call on 9645590.  Thanks for your continued support

Solas Art Gallery, Ballinamore
‘hidden… OUT LOUD’; an exhibition of recent work by Niamh O’Connor, visual artist from Dublin currently living in Monaghan. The exhibition will open 7.30pm 29th September, its runs Tue-Sat 10-6pm until 21st October and will be opened by visual artist and broadcaster Amanda Jane Graham.

Ballinamore Library News.
Positive Aging Week.Events continue throughout the week, with a classic movie showing at 6pm on Thursday 28 at 6pm (Details of movie available from the library at 071 9645566) Admission free all welcome with refreshments served.
Basic Computer Course.In early October there is a Basic Computer Course starting in Ballinamore library. This course is free and will run on Thursday evenings between 5.30 and 7.30 over a 5 week period.  Places are limited  and booking is essential.  For booking and further details contact the library at 071 9645566.

Irish Class for Complete Beginners. Irish class for people with little or no Irish will begin in Ballinamore Library on Thursday 12 October at 7.00pm. Admission is free.

Annual Diocesan Novena
To Mary, Untier of Knots begins on Monday 25 September next in the Cathedral of SS. Patrick and Felim, Cavan, and continues until Tuesday 3 October. This year’s theme is “We are Family”. Novena Mass and Devotions each evening at 7:30p.m.  Guest speakers this year include: Fr. Timothy Bartlett, Secretary General of the World Meeting of Families 2018 (Monday); Tracy Harkin from the Iona Institute NI (Tuesday with conessions available after Mass); Rose McGowan, National Vice President of the St. Vincent de Paul Society (Wednesday with the Blessing of Babies and Young Children after Mass); Aogan O’Fearghail, Uachtaran Cumann Luthchleas Gael (Thursday with the Anointing of the Sick during Mass); Fr.
