Congratulations to Imelda Kilkenny & Shane McHugh on the birth of their son Nathan last week.

Wedding Bells
Congratulations to Jeanette Leyden & Paddy Beirne who were married last Saturday in Fenagh Church.  Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together.  Also congrats to Kimberley Porter & Lee Hannigan who were married in St Catherines Church, Fenagh also last week.

Leaving Cert Results
Congratulations to all who received their results last week and good luck to all those heading on to third level education.

Fenagh Community Playgroup
Fenagh Community Playgroup reopens on Wednesday 29th August at 9.00 am.  Best of luck to the children who have left the playgroup to start school.  We are still enrolling for September 2018.  If your child was born between 1st January 2014 to 31st December 2015 they are entitled to avail of the FREE pre-school year.  There is now only one entry point to the FREE pre-school year this is in September.  If you wish to enrol your child contact Ceara on 086-3593244.  

Fenagh Dancers Excel on All-Ireland and World Stage
Fenagh always had a tradition of talent when it came to dancing and this was evident at the recent CRN All Ireland and World Irish Dancing Championships which were held in the Citywest Hotel and Conference Centre, Dublin and the INEC, Killarney, Kerry recently.  The following dancers, all pupils of the McCartin SD Drumreilly and Ballinamore excelled in both solo and team competitions, collecting awards were; Leah and Katie Guckian, Nicole Hargaden, Emily Gilheany, Anna Conefrey, Kate Conefrey, Rose Mc Loughlin, Aoife and Louise Cafferty, Eabha Gill and Kate Gilheany. A special mention to Kayla Gill who placed 1st in the under 10 All Ireland Championship and to Aoife Conefrey who won the under nine All Ireland Championship, her third consecutive year to win the All Ireland Championship. Well done girls! The McCartin SD will recommence classes in Drumreilly and Ballinamore Community Centre from 4th September and new pupils are always welcome, contact 0879751872 or see www.facebook.com/mccartinsd for more info. 

Heritage Week 2018 in Fenagh
As part of our Heritage Week events the launch of the “Parish of Fenagh 1907” project will take place in the Visitors Centre on Wednesday evening 22nd August at 8pm. This is a local project undertaken to identify and map the houses and families living in Fenagh in 1907. You are invited to join us for the launch of this historical project. Booklets will be available to buy on the night as a permanent reference to the townlands and families at the time. We will also be running tours of the Abbeys & Church of Ireland Aug 23, 24, 25 & 26th daily starting out at 2pm from the Visitor Centre.

Ring the Bell Workshop

Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café, Hall rental/meeting space). Opening hours: Mon-Fri 10am-5.30pm and Sat & Sun 12-5.30pm (last admission to playarea for one hour play is 4.30pm). Free internet access (Wi-Fi), local newspapers and tourist information available to all visitors. Follow us on Face book ‘fenaghvisitorcentre’. Also visit our website at www.fenagh.com which features lots of information on historical Fenagh, upcoming classes and events, Monk’s Den playtime and birthday rates, and other facilities on offer. Baby & Toddler Group
The Group will resume September 7th 10am-1pm with a special Relaunch Party to kickstart the new term – all welcome and free admission on the day.  We will have Michelle Fanning and Maresa Facepainting to entertain the children as well as a talk from Leitrim County Childcare Committee on the benefit of a local group like this.  Please spread the word in particular among new mums/dads or any grandparents/minders who may not be aware of the group and would like to come along any Friday morning throughout the year (the session runs every Friday at the Visitor Centre 10am-12pm).
