Back to School

Fenagh Community Playgroup
Fenagh Community Playgroup reopens on Wednesday 29th August at 9.00 am.  Best of luck to the children who have left the playgroup to start school.  We are still enrolling for September 2018.  If your child was born between 1st January 2014 to 31st December 2015 they are entitled to avail of the FREE pre-school year.  There is now only one entry point to the FREE pre-school year this is in September.  If you wish to enrol your child contact Ceara on 086-3593244.  

Heritage Week 2018 – Thank You
Thank you to all who supported our Heritage Week events. We had a full house for the unveiling of the 1907 Fenagh Townland Map and Book – the map is on permanent display at the Visitor Centre and copies of the book still available at 10 euro.  Whilst the weather didn’t work in our favour for the guided tours thanks to all who braved the rain and came along and a big thanks to Nicola Kearns for being the tour guide again this year. We also had a successful Bell Ringing Workshop at the Church of Ireland and the new Peace Garden is now completed at this church and is well worth a visit.

Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area, Dolmen Café, Hall rental/meeting space). Opening hours: Mon-Fri 10am-5.30pm and Sat & Sun 12-5.30pm (last admission to playarea for one hour play is 4.30pm). Free internet access (Wi-Fi), local newspapers and tourist information available to all visitors. Follow us on Face book ‘fenaghvisitorcentre’. Also visit our website at www.fenagh.com which features lots of information on historical Fenagh, upcoming classes and events, Monk’s Den playtime and birthday rates, and other facilities on offer. Fitness Classes
Fitness with Julie resumes after the Summer break on Monday Sept 3rd at 8pm.  Yoga with Deniese resumes Thursday September 13th at 7pm.  Venue for both is Visitor Centre, suitable for all fitness levels.

Baby & Toddler Group
The Group will resume September 7th 10am-1pm with a special Relaunch Party to kickstart the new term – all welcome and free admission on the day.  We will have Michelle Fanning and Maresa Facepainting to entertain the children as well as a talk from Leitrim County Childcare Committee on the benefit of a local group like this.  Please spread the word in particular among new mums/dads or any grandparents/minders who may not be aware of the group and would like to come along any Friday morning throughout the year (the session runs every Friday at the Visitor Centre 10am-12pm).

Fenagh Community Centre

And Thank You – Drama
Seamus O’Rourke will be back with us September 29th at the Community Centre with his new play “And Thank You” ..a great nights entertainment guaranteed.  More info re tickets nearer the time. 

Piano Centre
All Classes will resume in the Piano centre on Tuesday 28th August. This term singing classes will be available for junior groups and limited morning piano classes for adults who wish to return to piano or those wishing to learn to play. For more information contact Gerarda Burns ALCM 087 7828573.

Mobile Health Unit
Will attend Mohill Library on Wednesday 5th Sept, 10am – 5pm.  Get a free blood pressure test on the day
