Birth
Congratulations to Diarmuid and Eimear McHugh on the birth of their baby boy Senan.

Sympathy
Deepest sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Esther Greenan, Corraphort who died recently – may she rest in peace.

Progressive 25 Card Game
Progressive 25 continues this Thursday night April 25 in Fenagh Community Centre, starting at the later time of 9.00 pm. Jackpot is now at 8 games. Entry €8 with refreshments served. All new players welcome. Proceeds in aid of Fenagh Handball Club. Last week’s winners were Pat Joe Greenan and Pauric Mulligan with 6 games each.

Cake & Dessert Sale
Fenagh Parents Association are holding a Cake & Dessert sale directly after Mass on Sunday May 5th in the community centre.  All funds raised will go towards Fenagh St Caillins National School.  Your support is greatly appreciated.  

Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area & Birthday Party Venue, Coffeeshop/WiFi, Hall rental/meeting space). Opening hours: Mon-Fri 10am-5.30pm Sat & Sun 12-5.30pm.  For further information call (071) 9645590.

The Big Hello! 
The Big Hello is a weekend of community celebration throughout the country which encourages people to get to know their neighbours and community by hosting or attending a Big Hello! event in their local area.  Fenagh Visitor Centre are hosting a Big Hello Afternoon Saturday May 4 from 1-5pm – this is a free event with activities for kids and adults alike –there will be plenty of refreshments for all, a trad music session throughout the afternoon, guided tour to the Abbeys 2.30-3.30pm and a biodiversity tour of the village 4-5pm (weather permitting).  Come along on the day, catch up with old friends, maybe make some new and find out what is happening in Fenagh.  Any local artisan is welcome to display their product/service – just give us a call in advance on 9645590.

Sentimental Journey!
On Saturday evening 4th May 2019 at 8.30pm an evening of songs from Graceland to Oz to La Scala and back to Blaney presented by the Sweet Spirit Gospel Choir under the direction of Tish Dunleavy. A special treat will be the performance by soprano Pearl Kielty of the beautiful aria from Dvorak’s opera Rusalka ‘Song to the Moon’. Sean Mahon (Rodeo Man) will give a lovely rendition of Jim Reeves song ‘It is no secret what God can do’ while MaryAnn McBrien will perform two of the Seekers well known songs ‘On the other side’ and ‘Island of Dreams’. The choir will perform some well known songs by Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra i.e   ‘Everybody loves somebody sometime’  &’ Lucky Old Sun’ along with many more solo and choir pieces. Proceeds from this show will be divided between the Patient Comfort Fund, Aras Carolan Mohill and St Mary’s Parish Fund Mohill.

ailey the lawyer (Paraic Kerrigan) shouts out when Paddy Reilly(John G Reynolds) enquires of the Right Hon Justice Basil Sharkey(Donal Quinn, Aughawillan  Drama Troupe) whether he took an oath or not before answering questions put to him about Percy French(Frank Cadam). Come to the sitting of the District Court in the Hunt Hall, Mohill on Sunday 5th May 8pm to see what happens next! This is an original script by Tish Dunleavy. Refreshments served throughout the court case!!
