Benemerenti Medal
Congratulations to Muredach Walsh who was the recipient of the Benemerenti Medal last Friday evening June 28 in St Marys Church, Foxfield. He was presented with the medal and special parchment by Bishop Francis Duffy at a special Mass attended by a large number of his family, neighbours and friends. The medal is awarded by the Pope to members of the clergy and laity for service to the Catholic Church. Muredach received the medal in recognition of his lifetime work as a sacristan in Fenagh and also at Knock Shrine. Celebrations continued afterwards in the Community Centre. A great evening was had by all.
Blessing of Graves
Takes place in Fenagh on Sunday July 14 after 11.30am Mass. A collection for upkeep of the graveyards will take place on the day.
Pride of Place 2019
Fenagh has been selected as an entrant in the Pride of Place 2019 Competition. The purpose of the competition is to acknowledge the work being done every day by local community groups to enhance and sustain their area. Judging takes place Monday July 15 from 2-5pm starting at the Visitor Centre – all are welcome to come along, there will be a presentation on Fenagh, questions and answers session with judges, a tour of Fenagh and environs followed by refreshments and music. Work session continues every Monday evening at 7pm – any extra help would be much appreciated over the Summer months.
Fenagh Visitor Centre

Baby & Toddler Summer Session
A special Baby & Toddler Session will continue throughout July and August Fridays 10am-12pm. Adult 3 euro / Child 2 euro. The official group returns in September. Many thanks to all who donated to the Big Toddle for Barnardos last week.
Kid Arts and Crafts Morning in July
A morning session will run every Thursday on July 4, 11, 18 and 25 at the Visitor Centre from 10.30am-12.30pm. 5 euro per child (4-9 yrs). Younger children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Booking essential. Tel 9645590 for more info

also note the change of times are now from 3.00pm – 5.00pm and 7.00pm – 9.00pm.

at some point in their lives, however, only 3% of the population give blood.
