Fenagh Community Playgroup
Fenagh Community Playgroup are having an emergency parent’s information evening on Wednesday 16 October at 8pm in the pre-school room.  It is very important that as many people as possible attend especially parents of children using the service.  As the existing management committee are stepping down it is necessary to form a new committee in order for the service to remain open.

Seamus O’Rourke’s new play An Ogeous Brose takes place October 25 at 8.30pm in the Community Centre.  Tickets now available at the Visitor Centre 15 euro each or can be pre-booked by calling 071 9645590 – a great night’s entertainment guaranteed

Father Tommy Greenan Launches New Book
Saturday night 26 October will be a unique and special night in Fenagh Community Centre as Father Tommy Greenan launches ” Deeply Rooted”, a new book of sixteen riveting, exciting stories written by Andrew Redican, formerly of Drumroosk North and now residing in Drumkeerin . But he never forgot his native roots . He returns frequently to Drumroosk and the happenings around Fenagh. Deeply Rooted will be of special interest to Fenagh readers. A number of the stories are set in the parish . He says he has fond memories of growing up in Fenagh . The wonderful generosity and neighbourly spirit in the community he brings to a number of the stories . However, other stories will carry the reader to other locations in Ireland and across to London , where his experience of working on the buildings, brought him, at first hand, to meet Irish men who were not so fortunate in life. Deeply Rooted is a book everyone will enjoy.  With 226 pages of absorbing reading and only 10 euro it will find its way into every household and across seas .Everyone is welcome to the Launch, which commences at 8.00pm. Refreshments served .

Go For Life Fitness Programme for Older Adults
Leitrim Sports Partnership Go for Life Games start Monday October 21 at 11am in Fenagh Community Centre and runs for 6 weeks. Open to all older adults in Leitrim. Dates are 21 Oct, 4 Nov, 11 Nov, 18 Nov, 25 Nov, 2 Dec. All welcome – free admission.  Funded by Leitrim Sports Partnership

Progressive 25 Card Game
Progressive 25 continues this Thursday night October 17 in Fenagh Visitor Centre, starting at 8.30. League prizes, Nightly prizes and Jackpots. Entry €8 with refreshments served. All new players welcome. Proceeds in aid of Fenagh Handball Club. Last week’s winners were Sean McLoughlin 7 games and 4 finishing on 6 games.

Fenagh Visitor Centre
Fenagh Visitor Centre is open all year round – (Heritage Centre, Indoor Children’s Play Area & Birthday Party Venue, Coffeeshop/WiFi, Hall rental/meeting space). Opening hours: Mon-Fri 10-5.30pm CLOSED this Saturday Oct 19th for private parties, open again Sun 12-5.30pm.  For further information call (071) 9645590. 

Competition Winner
Congratulations to Lauren McLoughlin, Fenagh who was the winner of our Ballpit Competition – Lauren guessed 1470 balls which was nearest to the actual number of 1447. Well done Lauren! You win a birthday party package for ten children

Health Information Evening
South Leitrim Community Health Forum are hosting a Health Information Evening, in Bredagh Old School, Carrigallen on Thursday 17 at 7pm.  Speakers for this event:Ruth Morrow – Asthma Nurse, Marie Bradley – Nutritional Well-being Sgt. Orla McGrath – Community Policing. Free event. All Welcome.
