Local Notes June 29th

Fenagh Mass Update
The public celebration of Mass in St. Mary’s, Foxfield, will resume on Friday 3 July at 7pm.  Weekend Mass will be at the usual time of 7pm Saturday and 11.30am Sunday. The dispensation from the Sunday obligation to attend Mass is extended for the time being.  Anyone who is vulnerable or uneasy about gathering in an enclosed space should not come to the church and might continue to participate in Mass through television or radio. With social distancing of 2m between people not from the same household, the capacity of the church is greatly reduced.  For the moment there is a limit of 50 on the number of people who can gather indoors.  For this reason, some might consider attending Mass on Friday evening rather than on Saturday evening or Sunday morning. There will be ushers at each Mass to direct people to available seating.  Volunteers will clean the church after each Mass.  Your cooperation and understanding in this will be greatly appreciated.  Our aim is to open our parish church for worship in a way that is safe for all. Holy Communion will continue to be distributed on the hand only. Please note that Cemetery Sunday will not be celebrated this year.
