Local Notes Jan 3rd

Happy New Year
Wishing everybody a Very Happy New Year and hope 2022 is a better year for everybody

Deepest sympathy is extended to the McGovern family, Castlefore on the death of Bridie McGovern, to Betty Doonan and family on the death of her sister Bridie Gearty, Roscommon and to the Walshe Family on the recent death of Muredach Walsh, Fenagh. May they all rest in peace

Fenagh Publication
As part of its digitisation programme, Leitrim Library Service has recently digitised a number of popular, well researched local parish histories, which are now out of print.  14 parish histories from across the county are now hosted on the website www.leitrimdoc.ie.  Among the rich archive of Leitrim publications is ‘Fenagh: The Church of Ireland Story’ by Padraig Leyden (1989). This enhanced digital access now facilitates the viewing and searching by keyword of these valued publications by all diaspora from the Fenagh area and ensures that they can be enjoyed by a global audience.  Please share this information with your family and friends at home and abroad.

Fenagh Visitor Centre
