We were told that Lizzie Curran,an ancestor of my husband, married a Patrick Leylass(?),who owned a shop in Newtown.Carlow.

Even though she kept her Catholic faith, when she died, she was buried in th Cof I part of Fenagh graveyard.

Have just looked through the listings, but cannot find them.

Has anyone else got these people in their family tree?

    Elaine

Regarding Edward & Margaret Lipsett–thanks so much for posting the graveyards and making it easier for us to find family.

    For Elaine Curran

There are at least two Fenagh graveyards, one in Leitrim, the other in Carlow. I think your relative may be buried in Carlow, not Leitrim, which you have searched.

    Hello,

Thank you for listing these names!

I have some questions about information on the Church of Ireland Graveyard website:

Some of my family names are listed on this website. The year gives a date but is that the death date from the grave marker? Is there a month and day given, along with other names on the same grave stone? Is there somewhere I can email about relatives on this page to get more information: birth, tombstone picture, marriage records, etc. Booth, Johnston, Knott, Mitchell: live in Florida, USA so I can’t visit in person.

    Joy In Christ,
    Louise Wood Collins

I’m a descendant of Margaret Lavinia Scott 1890 – 1960 who married John Ernest Booth 1884 – 1960. My email address is mohillscottgenealogy@gmail.com. I’m interested in hearing from other cousins or descendants, and share information and photos.
I’m also related to Isabella Katherine Scott 1886-1941, who married William James Latimer 1875-1921. Both buried in St. Catherine’s in Fenagh. I live in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.

I just discovered that 5 of my ancestors are buried here (the Lytle’s). I live in Fermanagh, Northern Ireland so hopefully I will be able to visit soon.

Hi, I’m looking for the graves of:
    1) Fanny Elizabeth Lytle (nee St John) born Wood Island, Leitrim. On the 31 Mar 1901 she lived at Greaghglass, Leitrim and died 02 July 1909. I have a Newspaper article from Leitrim News 1909 that says she was buried at Fenagh.
    2) Her Father was Lieutenant John St. John of 12th regiment and he died 8 Feb 1863 at Wood Island, Leitrim. Sole executor to his will was John A. La Touche of Ballyduff, Ballinamore.
    3) Her Grandfather was Captain ? St. John of 44th Foot.
I have been searching for ages and I cannot find any further information on them. Can you help. Kindest Regards Judy
