I am looking for graves of Anthony Kilkenny and Anne Charles Kilkenny. The wife died in 1910 or so and Anthony died before 1901 census. They were Catholic and were born in Leitrim. Their son John b. 1872 who was g grandfather lived in Tooma. Are they buried there
Hello John, the list on our website is up to date. I don’t not see the Kilkenny names on the list; there are also a few graves that are unmarked. Sorry I cant supply you with any more information. I will ask locally to see if I can dig up any more info. Have you been in touch with the Genealogy Centre in Ballinamore ..they may be able to help. Find them at http://www.leitrimroots.com
Kind regards
Teresa Lennon

John . have checked my records and to the best of my knowledge cannot find any further information to help in your search. John Kilkenny (Anthony’s son) is definitely buried in Cloone graveyard so would presume it was the family plot. Would suggest Genealogy Centre Ballinamore (www.leitrimroots.com) or having a look at Cloone & Aughavas parish website http://www.aughavascloone.ie to help you further. Will keep up the search on my end over the coming months.
Kind regards, Mary Beirne.
habve you found anything more on Johm KIlkenny ort his father Anthony?
If a person was baptised in Fenagh, Leitrim, Ireland 1829 where would that have taken place for a Catholic.
Hi Kris – have a look or get in touch with our local genealogy centre at www. irelandroots.com. To my knowledge baptismal records around the dates 1829-34 are missing for the Fenagh area ..this could either be to them being destroyed or not recorded.
Also have a look at https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0165
Hope this helps somewhat
