St. Caillin’s N.S Concert
We are delighted that we are able to hold a Christmas concert after a few years break. It will take place on Thursday 15th December in St. Mary’s Church at 7pm. All are welcome. There will be a donation box at the door of the church on the night of the concert if anyone wishes to give a little donation towards the upkeep of our school.”

The Ballinamore Parish Pastoral Council Carol Service will take place in St Patricks Church Ballinamore on Wednesday 14th December at 7:30pm. It promises to be a wonderful evening of music, joy, and celebration of the season.There will be 6 Choirs, 3 National School groups, Foiroige group, Community school TY group and more.Bishop Martin Hayes will attend. So, pencil in this event in your diary, you will not want to miss it.Collection on the night will be divided between Ballinamore Primary Care Centre and Nursing Unit patient fund & North West Simon community for the homeless.

On Saturday 10th December, Fenagh’s Christmas lights will be switched on and Santa will visit our village with gifts for children. The event starts at 5pm at Quinn’s Pub in Fenagh.

Sunday 11th December from 12noon-4pm in Fenagh Visitor Centre. Featuring live music, bake sale, gifts, decorations, art and much more. Entry is €3 per person (family discount available) and includes a hot drink for parents and facepainting and soft-play for children.

Sponsored shave
The Cast of the Field from the recent Fenagh St Caillins “A Night at the Oskars” ran a sponsored shave in aid of the Irish Cancer Society after the filming of the Field on the 9th of October last. They will be presenting the proceeds raised from the shave to the Irish Cancer Society in Gerties Pub, Keshcarrigan on Saturday 3rd December at 9:00pm.The members of the Field Cast who participated in the beard shave on the 9th of October after filming had finished were as follows:
Padraig McLoughlin – playing The Bull McCabe
Aaron Smith – playing the Bull McCabe’s son Tadhg
Shane McGovern – playing Flanagan the Barman and Auctioneer.
Hubie Reynolds – playing the Priest.
Thanks to the other non-field cast members that also had their beards shaved on the night, they were Shane Foley, Emmet Mahon and Jullian Craggs. The weekly Progressive 25 card game is moving to the Heritage Centre this Thursday night November 24th, commencing at 8.30. League prizes, Jackpots, and Nightly prizes. Admission €8 with proceeds going to Fenagh Handball Club. New players welcome. Last week’s winners were Sean Masterson 8 games and Terry Shortt with 7 games after a 3 way playoff. We are saddened by the death of Sean McLoughlin RIP (Aughavas), one of the many card players who supported us from the start in 2015, who passed away on Sunday. A great card player and storyteller, he was always good company at the table. To his wife Linda and family we offer our deepest sympathy. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.

A talk by Local HistorianPadraig Griffin will be held in Ballinamore Library on Wednesday November 16^th at 7.30pm.  This will be the final Decade of Centenaries event for 2022.  It is a free event and all are welcome.

Courses Starting in Ballinamore
Photography Course:to start in the Old Vocational School/ETB Building one evening per week. This will be a great opportunity for anyone interested in  developing their photography skills. Cookery Classes: to start in the Old Vocational School/ETB Building.
