Christmas Lights & Santa
On Saturday 10th December, Fenagh’s Christmas lights will be switched on and Santa will visit our village with gifts for children. The event starts at 5pm at Quinn’s Pub in Fenagh.
Christmas Fair
Sunday 11th December from 12noon-4pm in Fenagh Visitor Centre. Featuring live music, bake sale, gifts, decorations, art and much more. Entry is €3 per person (family discount available) and includes a hot drink for parents and facepainting and soft-play for children.
Fenagh Tidy Towns – Fundraising
Lines are now on sale at the Visitor Centre and from Committee Members for a lovely Christmas Hamper. We will also be holding a bake sale as part of the Christmas Fair on Dec 11th – all support is greatly appreciated, all monies raised goes back into community projects.
25 Card Game
The Progressive 25 card game continues this Thursday night December 1st in the Heritage Centre commencing. at 8.30, League prizes, Jackpots, and Nightly prizes. Admission €8 with proceeds going to Fenagh Handball Club. New players welcome. Last week’s winners were Teresa Ellis 8 games and Kevin Foley with 7 games after a 3 way playoff.
Fenagh IFA
The AGM of the Fenagh Branch of the IFA will be held on Wednesday 30 November in the Heritage Centre at 8 pm. A County Officer will be in attendance. All are welcome

Birthday Parties at the Monk’s Den
The Monk’s Den at Fenagh Visitor Centre is a great place for birthday parties. Cost: €25 non-refundable reservation fee (to be paid upon booking) + Option 1 = €12 per child (includes 2 hours of play, snacks, juice, kid’s meal, ice lolly) or Option 2 = €15 per child ( includes 2 hours of play, snacks, juice, kid’s meal, ice lolly & party bag). Parent & Toddler Group
Fenagh parent, baby and toddler session take place on Friday mornings from 10-12 at the visitor centre. It’s €6 per family (+€3 for extra adults) and the maximum age for kids is 4 years old.
Garda Siochana – Info night
An Garda Siochana are hosting an information/feedback evening in Ballinamore Library at 8pm on Thursday December 1st. The event is open to everyone and is aimed at gathering public opinion on how policing could improve in our area. It is an opportunity for everyone to have their say
Ballinamore Advent Carol Service
The Ballinamore Parish Pastoral Council Carol Service will take place in St Patricks Church Ballinamore on Wednesday 14th December at 7:30pm. It promises to be a wonderful evening of music, joy, and celebration of the season.There will be 6 Choirs, 3 National School groups, Foiroige group, Community school TY group and more.Bishop Martin Hayes will attend. So, pencil in this event in your diary, you will not want to miss it.Collection on the night will be divided between Ballinamore Primary Care Centre and Nursing Unit patient fund & North West Simon community for the homeless.
Sponsored shave
The Cast of the Field from the recent Fenagh St Caillins “A Night at the Oskars” ran a sponsored shave in aid of the Irish Cancer Society after the filming of the Field on the 9th of October last. They will be presenting the proceeds raised from the shave to the Irish Cancer Society in Gerties Pub, Keshcarrigan on Saturday 3rd December at 9:00pm.The members of the Field Cast who participated in the beard shave on the 9th of October after filming had finished were as follows:

Shane McGovern – playing Flanagan the Barman and Auctioneer.

Thanks to the other non-field cast members that also had their beards shaved on the night, they were Shane Foley, Emmet Mahon and Jullian Craggs.
